About Rosie

I am a mother to 2 boys (May 2017 and November 2020), a spouse to a wonderful, limit-breaking man and father, and we love having an Aussiedoodle as part of our family life.

I was born and raised in The Netherlands but discovered my love for the mountains at age three. After living in Switzerland, England, and The Netherlands, I eventually settled in Canada, drawn by its landscapes and community. My journey took me from a Bachelor in Business Administration to a deep exploration of motherhood, birth, and postpartum healing.

Motherhood transformed me. My first birth was a deeply humbling experience, challenging my expectations and teaching me about surrender, resilience, and healing. My second birth, in contrast, unfolded quickly and beautifully with deep trust in my body’s wisdom. Through these opposing experiences, I learned the immense impact of birth on a mother’s well-being, identity, and confidence.

Driven by this understanding, I immersed myself in studies on child development, trauma healing, somatic experiencing, and postpartum traditions from around the world. My training includes Birth Story Medicine®, INNATE Postpartum Care Practitioner®, Somatic Experiencing, Pre and Perinatal Psychology, Reiki Master certification, and Energy Medicine, among others. These modalities, combined with my personal experiences, fuel my passion for supporting mothers in reclaiming confidence and meaning in their birth, postpartum and motherhood journeys.

I believe in the power of community, shared wisdom, and honouring the sacred transition into motherhood. My work is dedicated to helping women rediscover women’s wisdom around birth, care, and life cycles. This includes helping mothers heal, integrate their birth stories, and nurture themselves in ways that ripple out to their families, communities, and beyond.

If you are seeking guidance in finding peace with your birth experience or navigating early motherhood with more confidence and support, I invite you to join me on this journey.

I respectfully acknowledge that I live, work and play as an uninvited guest on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) people.
